Ratio of front stab weight to rear stab weight

How does everyone who shoots open class 3D set the weights on their bows?

I have been tinkering with the weights on mine and seem to be more front heavy than I want to be. I am planning on ordering new front and rear stabilizers and want to have a rough idea of the ratio of the weights I'll need.

I currently am at 24 inches and 8.5 ozs total on the front, I would like to stay there as I seem to like this much weight up front. On the rear stabilzer, which I have offset to the left to balance against the sight, I have a 5 inch 3.5 oz stabilizer installed. In doing my tinkering I have found this to be slightly front heavy, but I am not sure how much weight to put on the back to bring it into balance.

Any help here would be greatly apreciated

The shorter your rear stab is, the more weight you'll need to counter the front weight.
I'd try at least a 10 or 12" rear stab and see how that feels.

Check out GRIV's article on stabilization in this month's NFAA "Archery" magazine. He makes it about as simple and straight-forward as you can get.

I have been doing the tournament shooting for quite awahile now, but this is the first year that I have decided to get serious about it.
