Win Cash in our open class 3-D shoots

At Tri-County Rod and Gun Club (Linwood, KS) we are going to have a cash payout in the Men's open class this year at our 3-D shoots. We have again listened to the comments of our shooters and are responding to their suggestions.

It seems the majority of the open shooters have been competing long enough they prefer a little "scratch" instead of another trophy to dust.

Our first regular 3-D of the season is this Sunday, March 21st. Saturday is a traditional only shoot, but the rest of the season all our shoots will be two day shoots for all classes.

We hope to see all of you there!

Most have enough trophys and medals. Cash reward is always my choice.
Makes it easier on clubs as well.

My thought is, If they will cheat for a 7 dollar trophy.... shame it has to be that way.

We talked about having the top 5 shoot-off too. If we did that the open shooters would have to stick around until 2:30 for a 5-target shootdown with 14's in play.

I think it would spice things up a little, not to mention keeping people around for the awards.

This first shoot will just be busted groups, but we will be asking for input from shooters on how to best discourage pencil pushing.
