First Scope

I need to buy my first scope, I will be using it for 3d and spots, what recommendations do you have - I'm confused by all of this diopter and clarifier stuff!!!

3X lens seem to be a good start. 1 1/2" housing seems to be very popular.

One thing is do you like the up pin in front or back of the lens. I think in front is most popular. Both work and I have used both. I do think up pins work best because on rainy days you can remove the scope lens and shoot.

Scopes

Viper, Classic and CBE all make good scopes.

Gotta agree with everything he just said. I had a 4 power and it seemed a little much. The Viper for the money I don't think you can beat. The lens are dang good and the scopes are solid for $100

Sooo... I ordered an 1-3/4" Viper. 0.010" green up pin in front of a x3 Ziess lense, $106 tmd, did I do good?

Very bright up pin. I often have to put tape on fiber wrap to tune it down. Good price and good scope. Good kens and fair price.
