Ross CR337?
Anyone have thoughts on the Ross CR337? Will the longer ATA make it a more forgiving bow? Will the longer ATA cause it it to have more vibration then thei shorter bows?

historicly yes the longer ATA should be more forgiving....but in todays bow world I dont feel this is as critical....
I just missed out shooting the 337 when I was at the dealler ( it was walking out the door as I was walking in).....but if it shoots anything like the 334 then I would have to say the vibration is nothing an STS wont take care of.....they do feel real nice in the hands.....

I love my CR337. It is the smoothest shooting bow I have ever shot. Vibration is minimal.

I heard a rumor that Ross is refining their cam and that their bows should have a lot more speed when the 2007s are released. Might wait to see what their new 37" does through the chrono. Speed is the only complaint I have ever heard about the Ross bows. I would love to get my hands on one and shoot it.

The wall is a little mushy if you ask me. Now you have heard two complaints,

Okay, those are the only two complaints I have heard.
In my experience The bows are smooth, but they arent that quick, the wall isnt bad, but it isnt great either. The grips are so-so, the finish is kind of dull, I like the Limb Pockets, and strings are pretty good.
Overrall its worth what people are paying for it IMO.
But I know as the last 3D shoot of the summer I got my azz kicked by one too

yes he is correct. the wall is very soft, granted there is nearly no valley either so it makes it perfect for letting down.

Love my Ross Cr337 and I have no complaints on the speed. They are still rated at 305 fps. Now, from what I hear, and I did'nt say this, but you may have an option on the cams this year for the Ross bow's. Maybe something around the 320's could be in store. That should satisfy some of the speed nuts.

I have owned 3 Bowtechs, 3 Mathews, a Newberry, a Storm, and a few other brands this year alone and think the Ross are some of the best bows out, IMO.
I prefer the wall and the draw curve of thier cams to most, but again, that is just me.

Yea, it's pretty bad when you buy a new bow and then trade or sell it before you can even hunt with it....................
Been registers here for a bit, just never posted here till I saw the new ATA pics.

No, he doesn't give personal service, But I told him I wanted to meet him & take a tour of Ross before I head to Iraq again.
Thanks for the invite on the shoot, right now my Ross is undergoing a makeup and its not all put together, hopefully in the next 2 weeks though.

Andy and his wife are awesome poeple. They just moved into thier new building a few months ago and would be worth the trip into KC to check it out. Make sure you take the time to meet Doug Hutchinson while your there. He's the guy that designs the bows and has a wealth of knowldege he is more than happy to pass along. Good Luck to you and stay safe.
