oh you mean that idiot that wanted to give his dog away because it was 40 pounds and ugly? yeah real UPSTANDING guy there. After 11 months if you can even consider giving away a puppy without a huge reason (ie: allergies, moving...) then you shouldn't have dogs.

he was getting rid of his because at 40 pounds it wouldn't be big enough to retrieve ducks.

40# is too small to retrieve ducks? I had an English Springer that weighed 32#, and could retrieve any bird. Some people just don't have a clue.

well obviously you never shot the iron ducks! apparently they weigh a whole lot and require a big dog to go retrieve them and then they fight back and will drag a dog under water if its not careful...

dunno I don't duck hunt

My dog COULD kill them but, they WERE too heavy to retrieve.
A bigger dog might help with them.

Sounds like an easy cop out to me. Just did'nt like the dog so he makes up some lame excuse. Must not be to smart though, if he does'nt realize that just because its an archery site does not mean that the people on it don't do some kinds of other hunting.
