absolutly marvelous animals. my oldest brother worked on a horse ranch near Kerreville Tx for about 3 years the neighbors to the west ran a exotic breed stock ranch one night we went for a drive and saw a group of 20 or so black buck crest a hill at FULL speed literally fly over the edge of the hill and sprint top speed down the backside on about a 60 degree downslope. it was amazing.
the neighbors to the east at one time had an exotic ranch when the father died and the kids squabled over the acerage the fences came into disrepair these animals were able to pass onto the ranch Scott worked on. THE ABSOLUTE FUNNIEST PHONE CALL I HAVE EVER BEEN APART OF STARTED LIKE THIS............
THAT LITTLE ANTELOPE NEARLY KILLED ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
long and the short of it my brother learned that more hunters have their keisters whipped by "dead" animals than live ones.
in short a black buck is a wonderful and difficult animal to try and hunt.
