Perfect 300/Vegas Arrow
What's your ideal arrow? Vane style/size? Tip wt.?
I'm interested in Easton Full Bore shaft. Looking for some insight.

X2 on the Triple XXX
Probably one of the easiest arrows to tune, and get to shoot well also.
It’s used for indoor as well as a capable arrow used in outdoor 3D if the majority of the course has some type of cover for breaking the wind. For 3D just use a little less up front

I made up some 270 grain tips for the XXX's. They shoot real slow out of a 55 lb bow but if I could shoot I think that they would all be in the same hole at 20 yds.
Mine have 4" feathers with a good bit of offset. I am thinking that when I refletch that I may go with 5" feathers with just a little offset so that I can get better lizard tongue clearance. Will they fly with straight feathers for fletching?
What is a HD nock?

I shot my first 450 34x's with Victory X-killers 3in feather with 150 XXX point and I can't get off 300 58 5 spot but arrow flies great. Darrin Christenberry shoots the full bores and smokes them baby X's in our indoor league and his point weight is 200 with 4 in feathers indoor rig. But he could probably could shoot bare shafts and get the same results.

Draw length 28 1/2", arrows cut 30," shooting 50#'s, Carbon Express, xjammer 27's, 220 grain tip, 2" vantec's. Also, have good luck with my 2712's, 300 grain tips, 5" helical feathers.(2712's slower than molasses, love to shoot the big arrows at longer distances, fun to watch those logs fly, reminds me of my recurve days when you could actually see the flight of the arrow.

Always liked flexfletch ffp360 on my a/c/c's. Considering either these or maybe a ffshield vane.
Anybody use Flex fletch on their target setups?

Indoors you want a big vane on a super fat shaft. I've had a lot of calls about FullBores lately.
My guess is TripleX or FullBores or 2712 for indoors.

That's ALL I use for fletching....haven't found anything better....and I have tried just about everything out there. The ones I haven't tried is because people I shoot with have tried them and I have seen how they hold up for them so I don't need to try them
I use 187s on my field arrows, 225s on my 3D arrows and 360s on my indoor and hunting arrows....unless I use the 310s.

Bigger is better when it comes to that little baby X on that target. I am shooting 2314s right now....on the 5 spot face it doesn't matter at all....I could shoot my little field arrow and still shoot in the mid 50X range....but with that little X I get killed on Xs it has to be a dead X for the most part or I'm not gonna catch it. I just got back from the range and shot a 297 15X Vegas round....the 3 I dropped were in the 1st couple ends which I am fine with since I have only been avg around 54.5 Xs on the 5 spot this year and it was actually my 1st Vegas round for score since Lancaster last year.....but I counted the Xs that were in the 10 solid that would have been in with a 2512 size shaft or bigger....I lost 9 Xs
I like the new CX shafts the LineJammer and the X Jammer 27.....2 GREAT shafts. When I change shafts...which may not be until next season I will probably be getting the LineJammer.
