uncut shaft weight ?

i wonder uncut shaft have more weight than cut the arrow ? well i was wonder if GT volecity shaft weight 246 gr in full shaft or at lenght ? i'm not sure, have you weight uncut shaft and cut shaft is any different weight ?

Well of course it does.....get on the scale and weigh yourself....now cut your leg off and see if you still weigh the same

How can a company list the shaft weight at the "cut length" when everyone cuts their shafts at different lengths?

lol ok i got it, cut my leg i'm sure i'll be lightweight .. will have to buy scale on ebay

you should be able to find grains per inch (gpi) on all the manufacturer's websites for every shaft they make. then you multiply that times your arrow's length.

just take a look at gold tip yeah they weight in 29" lenght, GPI but i'm plan to get arrow scale and need to cut to 28 1/2" it would be few grain off from 29" ..
