Dipping Cams

I want to have the cams of my hunting bow dipped, and would like to know from folks who've had cams dipped how they treated the string grove, leave the grove as normal or dip the whole cam? Will the string wear thru the dip and peel it? Or would it be best to tape off the edge of the cam and dip both sides? As you can see the C nitrous is a large shiny cam. Sight is also going for a dip.

I would have the cams ANODIZED!!! It's stronger, lighter & will not rub off

I don't want them anodized, it won't look near as good as a dip will, I know that the dip will wear out of the string grove, but critters don't see that part. This is a hunting bow, I already have shinny. Thanks for your reply.

They usually mask off track before dipping them

This is a X rigged bow. Modules on both side of cam and I want it dipped as one piece, so there are 3 groves on each cam. Or would it be best if the cam and mod where dipped separate?
Guess it's time to start talking to dippers, just thinking out loud here, but if its dipped as a unit, any draw length change later will open a shinny spot and also be ever so slightly tilted. How thick is the dip film?
