windy here too
the wind calmed just a little and I went out and found two large groups in the creek bottoms. I saw a gobbler strutting on a lane and another gobbler and hen in a hedge row.
good luck,

got a nice bird saturday afternoon.hunted all morning in high winds an cloudy conditions on our hunting club witch is all pines an hardwoods.that afternoon the sun come out an the wind laid down a little so we moved to farmland along the white river where i had seen some birds on thursday.after several stops an calling we finally got one to gobble an he was ready.ive often thought that the afternoon hunt was better because they are less likely to be hened up.he weighed 22#s 1" spurs an a 9 inch beard.it was a good day.good luck to everyone this year.

I hope to hunt one this year, got my permit. I think it's going to depend on friends limiting out and still wanting some dummy to kill a bird.....I've really never gone after one before.

One gobbler has been giving me fits. I have been up at 4:30 am everyday since the season started. Monday, we can hunt .all day looks like I might take advantage.of the evening time.
