I am up and getting ready to head into Indian country for a few days. I know they have been at peace for a while now but don’t know if there are any war parties running around anywhere. These folks were bow folks long before my time.

I will carry along my big peace pipe and hope they have a stash to smoke if we are captured. Unless we are scalped we should be home by mid week.

Getting ready for the first of several meetings over the next couple of days and I am not sure just how many of those hatchet toting feathered headed folks will be attending but I think I will keep my old Kentucky long barrel close by. My powder is dry and my balls are greased, I am standing on the ready.

Seen a bear this morning just ambling along as though he thought he owned the place and let me tell you that as far as I am concerned he does. I think that I would rather wrestle one of them red skins than to mess this big fellow.

On the other hand my wife is right at home as she is a Red Skins fan. She owns several coats and all types of what knots scattered through the house with one of them on it. Myself I think it would be a lot more fun to chase the pig around instead of just chasing his skin. She also thinks that them Red Skins can kick the butts of them Bears.

Don’t know if anyone can tell but I am bored to death waiting for 2:00 PM to come rolling around so I can go to that meeting and take a nap. I was hoping to be able to sneak off to that place where those red skins played the game of chance and see if I could take their money, I cheat you know. The wife will not let me out of her sight for fear that I will get caught cheating and they will lift my hair.

We made it back home with a little loose change and all our hair. We did see those red skins doing a war dance but was able to get away.

Driving home we hit a snow storm that was just short of a total white out. We have decided to go live with our friend WESTY for the next couple of months. The wife said she wanted a joy to play with or is it joie, what ever a baby rue.

The wife said to get the barbie ready we will be hungry when we get there old mate

good morning everyone. My arms feel like they are going to drop off rowing this boat all night long. The wife says it won't take but a couple of weeks to get to Westy's house in this boat but I don't think my arms will last that long.
