Help this helps
I have't done it since I was 12 but in the Spring the saying is, when the dandlines are up the carp are spawning. I did it with a 45 lb Bear recurve and a hand rap real and a barbed field point. You look for the bubbles on top of the water and they are up just below the surface and you aim under them.

First you need a funny hat a pair of waders and a pair of gloves that make you look like Michael Jackson.
Then you wander around in the water till you trip over a log and almost drown.
After your near death experience you will obviously need to use the bathroom. Head to the nearest corn field and relieve yourself.
Be sure to have someone take pictures of said bathroom break.

The makers of the buck bomb just came out with a fish bomb that is supposed to put out some serious chum oils thru out the surrounding water . Give that a try, if nothing else you can report if it works

Really? Lets assume ( we all know what that means ) for a moment that you have your bow-fishing rig all set up and what you're asking is how to hit 'em? If when you get to the water's edge, you put your arrow in the water and notice how that it looks bent? Pay attention to that precieved bend, and always aim that low at your carp victim. And as for spotting carp while they are spawning, no troubles, as they roll on the surface. At this time, they'll spend most of their time at or near the surface, and because of that, you will be able to see their wake as the swim along. A couple of misses and you'll adjust till you get the point of aim, and soon will stacking carp like cordwoood. Best of luck to you Gator, and ENJOY. And you won't need that bait pile either !
