almost got one.
almost got a bear this morning. or the bear almost got me. heard something coming. got ready to shoot. I was sure it was a nice big buck. it was a bear with two cubs. well they come in and the sow starts to climb the tree I'm in. I'm thinking oh s**t. well I stomp my stand and she stops. then she starts climbing again. so I stomp and shout and she stops and goes down to the ground and they leave. then when I stopped shaking I got down and left.

now for the rest of the story. last year I saw some bears around my stand but not real close. this year I had my 1911 colt 45 on my belt just to be on the safe side. bears and coons are getting to be a big pest around here.

this reminds me of a stupid joke....
.....a bear and a rabbit find themselves sitting side by side answering natures call first thing in the morning. The bear says to the rabbit, "Good morning Mr. Rabbit, do you find that you have a problem with ***t stinking to your fur first thing in the morning?" " Why no" said the rabbit, "Good" says the bear and he picks up the rabbit and wipes himself.
Can you guess the moral of this story??

being the intellectual type (and handsome) I have been sating here a few hours trying to find the moral to this story. and it is
1 dont poop in the woods
2 dont poop beside a bear
3 carry enough tissue for two
4 gator eye is wrong. there is no moral here.

Ohh I know that feeling, get all set up in the stand and you get that little cramp and you just know it only a matter of time before you climb back down and try to make it as far away from your stand before nature quits calling and starts screaming!!

@ Longcuts:read this in church today and thought of you carppy and gator!!
In II Kings 24:23-25 it tells about a time forty-two young people from the town of Bethel were killed by two bears because they were being disrespectful.to Aussies
This gang of brats was no match for a couple of ferocious bears. I wouldn’t want a bear like this one mad at me. How about you?
Makes you kind of think doesn’t it? It is important to be respectful and never be mean to anyone especially older people and those who are aliens in your country. Also, hanging around with a bad crowd online can get people into a lot of trouble.
I bet those forty-two kids thought they were being cool. If those mean kids were around today where do you think they would hang out: the mall, school, the park, the basketball court,on line forums?
I’m glad that today people are not mauled by bears when they are disrespectful or mean to Aussies
