cable guard question
I got a Parker 2 cam bow (Buckhunter model) for my grandson. The set up is 28 inch draw and 56 lbs peak weight.
The bow shoots very well except as he draws the bow the cable slide goes almost off the cable guard. Does anyone sell just the straight carbon cable guard were I could measure the one I have on and purchase a 2 inch longer guard ? MY thanks in advance for any suggestions or help. |

http://www.cstsales.com/carbon_rods-ss3.html you can buy a 2 ft 3/8" rod for $15 and cut it to desired length with a dremel tool or arrow saw

my thanks and can you tell me which one to buy ? what is the od of the rod that would fit the cable guard hole....

.375" or 3/8" for most bows, take the old one out and measure the diameter.

I don't know if you have the poundage backed down too far on the bow but if you do this will cause the cable guide to come off the rod on some bows.
