Need New Strings
What should I get?
I sit down in my stand...getting all set...grab the bow to nock an arrow...bounce my slick trick off the string AND cable. cut a few strands on each. So do I get down and hike all the way back to camp, or just say a prayer and hope it holds? Guess which one I did

Here's what I think !
I seem to always check my strings before hunting season , and own two more backup hunting bows that are checked and ready for hunting !

If its just a strand or two....personally I wouldn't end a hunt over it....I also wouldn't not go out in near future over it. Your either only gonna shoot once or not at all.
In the meantime I would hop on http://hinkystrings.net/ and order a set of strings. $65 and he will have you on your way....if they are good enough for a Multi time national champ and shooter of the year and team Overkill they are good enough for me. I have been shooting them for the past 3 years and couldn't be happier...and I have known Randy longer then that. He will take care of ya.

I figured the strings had one more shot in them...and besides, my freezer was empty. I shot a doe about 30 min later After that I tightened down the limb bolts on my son's bow and used his for the rest of the trip. He was ok with using a rifle and didn't give me any grief with stealing his bow.
Slippy...get off my back, I am buying another set of strings! plus I have another hunting rig backup (and I guess my son's bow as a backup to the backup)

Check out vaportrails strings. They usually have a very good turn around time. Great strings and competitive pricing as well.

i have used quite a few different brands and Im all Vaportrail, love the customer service! love getting them in 3 days or so, peeps stays straight and they last a long time!
I use 2 sets of strings a year and I easily shoot 500+ shots a week and these strings holdup better then any other I have used.

I just put on a set of Vapor Trails. Great customer service and they were settled in a couple shots.
