hey everyone, im new to the forum... just joined yesterday. anyway, i was introduced to the world of archery about 2 months ago and was instantly hooked. About a month ago i bought my fist bow. its a used hoyt ultrasport zr100. bare bow that i found on craigslist for 175. i had to buy the case, arrows, and all the accessories seperately. anyway, i was shooting yesterday, and i noticed something i hadnt noticed before. one of the loops on the buss cable is right up against the limb and the other is not.... im new at this, but that looks wrong. im guessing the left side is correct? anyway, could this error effect the bows performance? and how bad? thanks everyone.....and tell me what you think of my first bow and was it a good deal for 175? 60-70 lb limbs. 27-31 draw(set at 27.5),

Is there a channel that it is supposed to ride in? I would get that looked at.

Yeah, it is in the groove, but the little brown spaced is flipped around on the right side.... I guess its just a matter of flipping it around

to the Forum. I am slowly learning the art of shooting a Traditional Bow. So I have no answers for your purchase. I can recommend you to look at Lancaster, and 3 Rivers for some guidance with DVD's and the Tech Lines that you can call. Good Luck and again Welcome Aboard.

Was able to take my bow this weekend to academy...the bowtech fixed it right up.
However, now I'm thinking of investing in a portable bow press. Rather do it myself at home. Working around other peoples schedules sucks!!!!

I too am impatient with waiting for others plus i have a hard time trusting other people with my stuff because i know how some of the "experts" are at my shop no thanks

Welcome aboard.
Are those arrows from different types?
I am new to the sport also but the one thing I have learned is that all arrows need to be the same in order to have the same groupings.

My first six arrows were from three different types and each type grouped together but they all would group together.

Yeah they're all the same, easton epic st 400 spine...but I rotated the one in the picture so it looks different.

I thought they were all the same but made my comment anyhow. I should have said in the last sentence that they would not all group together.

now that i got the cable taken care of, i took some time yesterday afternoon to tune, and to sight in my 20 and 30 yd pins. got it grouping pretty good at 30 yds.... good enough to have to replace some blazer vanes on one of my arrows. what worries me, is that i can see the arrow falling at 30 yds, its not shooting as flat as id like. a buddy of mine has a martin cheetah set at 70# 28dl and his bow shoots real flat. his 20,30,40 pins are real close together.
i know my tiller is off by 1/8", but would this effect the trajectory like that..

any advice is good advice, thanks

i don't think your tiller being off would cause your arrows to drop. maybethe arrows are too heavy check the weight on them bad boys.they should be 5 grains per inch so at 60 lbs they should weigh 300 grains at 65 lbs they should be 325 grains and so on check that first.
