How do you get a company to sponsor you?
I have been to alot of 3d shoots and talked to guys who tell me they are sponsored by sword carter hoyt easton and so on but when they turn in score cards I bet them and dont even place in small local shoots. So is it easy to get them or what?

Well my sponsors like tru-ball and berries control freak stabs, you just talk to them and fill out a paper then you on. My brother in-law has been shooting for maybe 7 months and he is sponsored by Bernie also.

i just say i'm a staff or pro shooter it makes me feel good and on AT you have to be a staff or pro shooter to have any credibility
you can buy the shooter shirts and feel good about yourself then you can go shoot with pride
JK but thats how it works around here

Rookie,
To be a staff shooter you must buy their product at a discount and then advertise for them, Which makes you a staff shooter!!! In 3-d to be a pro you just need to qualify and pay the entry fee's. No that doesn't make you a pro It just gives you the title.
Now on the other side of the coin there are real pro's and pro staff that you hear about regularly and they are Professional athletes. As in other sports.
I'm sure that there are really sponsored people out there and they are true pro athletes in the sports but most are just getting cheaper gear and giving free advertisement.
Remember archery is not a popular sport like Baseball, Football, Hockey, etc.
Granted alot of people shoot bows but most don't think it's a sport.

I would think you just need to ask the companies. When I was busy making quivers I had a few people ask me if I was interested in them 'advertising' for me as a staff shooter.
