Golden Eagle Protech
I just picked up a Golden Eagle Protech at a garage sale & can't find any info on them anywhere online. It also says "Realtree Hardwoods" on it. It looks exactly like a bow I saw recently at a Walmart, so I know it's not a high end bow, but can anyone tell me anything about them or where I can find an owners manual for it? Thanks.

you probably wont find any kind of manual. Unless someone has one lying around. Since Golden Eagle isnt around anymore. Try Bear Archery. They bought Golden Eagle out years ago. Maybe they would have one! Good luck!

Bear replied back that they have no manuals available for this bow. Does anyone know a shop or an individual that used to deal in Golden Eagle equipment that might have some old cams sitting around? I need to adjust the 29" DL down to 26 1/2" & also adjust the DW down a bit from 70#. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I know Gander Mountain carried them up until they went out of buisness. Maybe they might have some thing lying around?

I have some old Golden Eagle catalogs. Do you know what year the bow is and are you sure is says Protech?
Also, look at the cams and see if there are any letters or numbers on them, I used to have some modules for some of the dual cammed bows.

Thanks Tek. Yes it says GOLDEN EAGLE on one of the upper limbs & ProTech on the other upper limb. One of the cams has the # 16244 on it. That's the only numbers or letters I could find on either cam. Does that help?

I will check today and see what I have. But I dont remember ever seeing a GE Protech. And I will see if I have any modules left for Golden Eagles, they had many different cams.

Here is what I have.
Dual cam modules, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6 these are GE metal modules
X2, X3, X4, plastic modules for GE, dual cams
2,3,4, in very tiny numbers on the metal cams for GE, dual cams
Single cams, sgh, sfh, sdh
PWC cams, w2, w5, w6
I found 8 years of GE catalogs and no Protech in them so I doubt if any of this helps you. If you need any of these modules I will send them to you free.

The modules I have are for hard cam bows, they will not work on your bow.
I dont know for sure but that may be a bow that was sold only to box stores. I think GE started using the bear/jenning limbs around 1999 or 2000.
If you can, try to find a Bear/Jennings dealer, they maybe able to help you.
