One Cam Market shinking?

Just an observation......Mathews came out with the Monster series, their 1st two cam(or do you prefer binary hybrid?) and now with their Mission line which started by building bows from precious years spare Mathews parts, now offers more hybrid bows then one cam bows.
So when did Archers lose their taste for Mathews one cam advertising manure? anyone?

If they want to keep up on the speed I think they have to back away from a single cam.

I ve shot quite a few Mathews bows. I really liked the LX, I shot that bow longer than most. It had a super nice draw and the ATA was long enough to make it accurate. That was one of those bows I wish I never would of got rid of. The new offerings just never had the same combination IMHO, they started into the shorter is better faze and screwed things all up.

sorry Gator I couldn't resist. I too shoot whatever I like. I own a Martin now but who knows what the second bow is going to be. But it won't be a Hoyt from Westy!!

I had me one of those Martin bows too but it had so much vibration the old lady kept borrowing it.

shoot faster shoot faster. Bear or the company that is now Bear owns the patent Mathew invented it but gave up the p[atent with rights to use the design wit h his own company royalty free. There are fewer and fewer one cam models and brands that offer them every year. They are an evolutionary dead end and the sign is just ahead relatively speaking.

I will be shooting my one cam bow this year more and bring back the nostalgia of the good old days , when making up crap was in style !

I will alone return the days of " The One Cam total domination in the world of archery " !

I got to get the old " Jennings Buckmaster " out and shoot until the cows come home !

I agree on the going shorter part. I've owned and hunted with an Icon, Ovation, Conquest, Conquest 2, Conquest 8, FX, and SB, and still have a couple Rival Pros. FX was/is the quietest bow I ever shot, just too short of a sight window for my liking.
Speed has never been my game, I did'nt buy them for their speed rating. I'm more interested in hunting than foam or paper scores. They've never let me down in the woods.
Bash all you want, they hunt pretty damm good.

Me neither. Never had any bow come apart, a few arrows ya, but not a bow. I've had recurves and compounds over the years from several manufacturers. I've not had them ALL of course. I guess I just like single or dual cams in compounds because I find them simpler to tune. I like simple

That does'nt stop me from trying something else though.
Mathews probably realized there was only so much speed they could wring out of a single cam without something new in limb material or design. Why would'nt they start a new line in a different direction? No need to hate.

speed? sort of , my guess is sales which is directly connected to sales these days. simple, I dont believe a one cam is really that much simpler then a hybrid, 2 cam other then having no module in the top cam/wheel. the double length string and the twisting of both sides vs having a one sided sided string and 2 cables is easier to deal with my opinion.

Im not saying the one cam is not a viable cam syaytem. Im saying theyre more limits to its evolution, basically an evolutionary dead end which has pretty much come.

No one thru the early-mid 2000's spent more money propagandising the one cam system or any system for that matter then Mathews, now he is having to talk out of both sides of his mouth and I have to admit Im enjoying it.

Out of all the bows that I shot in the last year the z7 mag was the most enjoyable to use!!!Not the fastest or smoothest but was the best alrounded Bow for sure next to the Hoyt 2012 Element
