Dry stretch, what to expect?

No snow to speak of last winter, and now july seems rainless. Way down on annual water. How does it effect natural nut crops? Had plenty of water last year and no acorns. the previous 2 years we were swiming in acorns.
Some are saying dry years yield more effort from the oaks = more nuts. What are you guys seeing out there? Still a month or so from even being able to see them on the trees here. Oaks and acorns are where I key on. No manmade crops around here.. Water is still flowing, marginally, in the larger streams for the moment.
Curious on the annual rain vs nut production and what you guys are seeing yet.

One of those "previous" 2 years had record flooding in the spring. Trying to figure it out if possible.

I've bere looking here in Oklahoma at my property and so far I see no acorns. Am really hoping that we get a decent crop, but we couldn't buy a drop of rain these days.

What was last winter like? I know you guys are hurting for rain now. Trying to figure out if its directly related to this years weather or a result of last years.

Last winter was a piece of cake. The year before was a horrible snowstorm that left drifts over 5' and solid cover on the ground at lease 2' in Tulsa area.
It seems like the windchill factor hit 20 below zero during that storm. Last year wasn't cold enough to freeze a grasshopper.

Very mild here last winter too. Rode the streetbike alot in February. 1 piddley snow fall in January was it. What I'm seeing on other websites is the oaks produce more acorns in or following a dry year. Looking good so far...

can't say much for oaks, we have very few where I hunt, but I target apple tree's for early bow season and I don't think I ve seen a apple on a tree this year.

We got a couple late frost and they wiped out most of our fruit this year.

Fields are drying up for lack of rain so early season is going to be different.

This sounds just like home to me!!! Hot Dry and dusty and were lizards carry a waterbag,I can send you a few Roo's if you guys would like and a emu thrown in for good ????
