How thick is that ice anyway? Looks like your having a great time, but I'am not sure I could stand out on that stuff. I sink like a rock

there was about 7 inches.....around here we fish on 3-4 if its solid, and everyone stays spread out.....
oh and by the way before someone says it.....I know this aint the right section....but at least it aint spam.....

the picture of the open hole with the fish next to it......thats are live well.....you drill a bunch of holes next to one another about4 inches deep....deeper ifthe ice is thicker......then leave space and drill a hole all the way thru......clean out the slush and make a small channel from the open hole to you live well for the water to drain into......the great part is ifyou only catch a few of the ones your after (perch in this case) you can put them back....no harm no foul.....

Yup, Good day...not too cold or windy...and nobody got wet...
As for the fishin' it started off pretty good then died off after 2-3 hrs...but hey that's fishin'

Yeah that hat is so very bad. Glad you guys had fun but walking on water no matter how thick it is, is not something this ole boy calls fun. And I agree those are some funny lookin fish in that pic. Thanks for the pics they are great except for a couple of real ugly mugs.

ugly mugs (brokenarrow and papito).......
you guys have never seen pickerel????they are a relitive of northern pike.....they have a mouth full of razor sharp teeth.....

no they were all pretty small....we have caught several 24" and one 30" pickerel out of that place.....they just were not biting that day.....
