Another dumb question

OK, I am really starting to feel dumb here.

I can't believe I have forgotten so much in just 4 years.

So, here goes...when I sight it in, should I start at 10 or 20 yards? Any other tips?

When I set up my sights, I set them at 20, 30, 40. I only bowhunt though.

If your just getting back into shooting, I would set your 10 pin first, then one at 20. Once your comfortable with that set another pin at 25, or jump to 30. If you work your way up in bow poundage you may want to skip the 10 and just go 20 30 40 50 and so on. Hope this helps.

Not many people use a 10 yard pin for hunting as there are very very few shots where 10 will kill and 20 will not, the arrow drops very little in the first 20 yards. I would shoot at 10 and see where you hit and then back up to 20. chances are you point of impact will be an inch off at most.

If your setting up a new sight start at 10 (less risk of missing the target

)use that distance to roughly set the sight and then move back from there...
But I would set your first pin at 20...

waiting on new cams and accessories... Its WAY to long to shoot in my basement so I'll give it a try on Sunday at the range. Very smooth draw with a nice wall. We'll see how she shoots.

thers never such thing as a dumb question for one, and i suggest sighting in first at 10 yards were its easy to make you first adjustment, then move out to ware you comfortable

When i was an instructor one of my favorite saying was: "There are no stupid questions, only stupid people that ask questions, what is yours?" Needless to say I didn't expect a glowing review from that individual.
