y would like know what is the pourcentage off traditionnal archer on 3d tournament's in united states

In france it's aproxibly 70% in 3d shoots and 85 % hunt whis recurve and long bow ...!!!

And what is the distance max for shooting a 3d target in tournament

in france it's 45 mètres max !!!

I would say some where around 5% do 3d's probably a few more hunt.
We shoot out to 50 yards or 45.7 meters
We are a mechanical society when it come to doing things. Anything that makes us feel we have an advantage we will use.

What type of animals do you folks bowhunt..

I am a président off bowhunter association "Arcapo" and my favorit gamehunt is the Isard ( rupicapra pyréneïca)

i hunt isard only whis my ibex Saluky bow made by lukas Novotny or the golden hawk magnun made by Stevee goor from Arlington

i hunt this animal only on "approach"

y sink its the same hunt for the mountain goats !!!

My thirth isard whis my bow , the first day was hunt oppening "12 september 2005

y shoot this at 12 mètres down than mi on rear three quarter.

after the impact the isard make just 45 mètres and is fall down

That looks like some very steep & rough terrain where you are hunting. Where is that?

I will be seeing Lukas Novotny's show tomorrow in Baltimore, Maryland. One of the clubs here, Baltimore Bowmen, has a traditional shoot every year. Lucas was there last year and is scheduled to be there again this year.

Holy Smokes is probably right about the 5% overall, but at this shoot it's 100% traditional.

for the trophy it's a young animal but its not important for me, i am a "prédator"

it's in France from pyrénnée ,we could find just in this country this sort off animal

if you see lukas tell him hello for me " arawak's manufacturer"and tell him is bow its best bow ever see "same faster than a coumpound bow "

am not sure to be understand your question because my english is very very bad

but these animal are realy good to eat !

I know the teritory and the isard perfectly because y was "born whis us"

but it's a realy hard hunt and i kill one isard approx evry 3 years except in 2005 and 2006 " i ma lucky !!!

for the hunt we have 3800 hectares whit env 630 isards we could kill 8% off there ( 50 isards)

every body could hunt isard you need to contact OFFICE NATIONAL DES EAUX ET FORÊT in france
but is not the same price than me and the succes is not garantied !!!
