cool I was more thinking of the bench itself......how far from the ground is the top of the bench?
I was thinking like 3.5 feet from floor to top of bench.......it would leave room to go 12"of the floor for the bottem shelf and then a 2 15" shelves......
like 5" foot long.......

The bench is 6 feet long, 3feet high & 3feet deep
Legs are salt treated 4 x 4 with a 2x4 frame with 1 cross member in the middle
The top is 3/4 in ply wood
the whole thing didnt cost $50 to build
One minute ill get a better pic of bench.

i started working on it at about 1:00 this afternoon......All the tools are in the wood shop....at the back of the property.....oh about 150 yrds......so i went up to the wood shop......cut all the lumber.....and then assembled it on the porch.....had to dodge the rain drops at times......but it works out pretty good when your father in law has a full wood working shop in your back yard.....

That looks great!! My hubby is trying to set up his work bench...he got an awesome bench from his Grandfather but now he needs all the "stuff" for it. It already had a press and a grinder attached, but he needs drawers and stuff. I was going to get it all set up and organized with lights and a fan (were in Texas) and all the bells and whistles for father's day, but I don't think he will be able to wait that long. I'll try to get pics up as soon as it's finished.
Lookin' good BOWMAN

Nice looking benches there guys. Seems as though everytime I get a new bench or shelf it fills up so fast I have no time to actually enjoy the space.
