I have a Shrewd grip on my Allegiance and I love it.
I'm thinking about putting one on my Ovation.

throw in another vote for Shrewd, i like the one on my Ovation quite a bit, much better then the stock grips.

I really don't like the "side plates" (the 2 little pieces of wood and then you hold onto the riser). I just never could get used to them

Hey Dredly, which Shrewd grip do you have on your Ovation ?
They have a high and a low profile. It looks like the high one closely matches the side profile of the stock grip... Is that right ?

Thanks,

Ron

I think its the High Profile one, it is just a wee bit thinner then the riser and has a part that extends away from the bow a little bit to make it rest better in the hand.

Gotcha. I like the profile of the stock grip, it's just too wide for my hand.

Doesn't that move the surface of the grip away from the riser, effectively shortening your draw length ? I've seen the grip on the WEB site but never one installed on a bow.
