Wildview 3.0 trail camera
I recently got one of the wildview 3.0's and put it out in the woods after quite a bit of testing in the yard. I am very pleased with this camera. I paid $99 for it from cabelas.
The sensor works great and reacts quickly. The daytime pics are also great. The case is adequate (i am not too picky about the cases) The only downside is the flash is a little weak on the nite pics so they do have to be fairly close after dark to get a decent picture.
The toggle switches are great. By far the easiest to operate camera I have ever used and I have used a bunch of them. I got a big python lock to secure it to the tree.
Overall I have to give this cam a B+. The battery life is great as well.
They have a 4.0 and 5.0 version out now too.

this is the first year I have ever used a trail cam I bought the wildveiw also my problem is I cant use bait so all I'm getting for pic is there butts or just a nice scenery pic it triggers a little to slow.
Moved the camera the other day over by a fence they have to jump so hopefully i will get better shots
Nice pic I like folks that post trail cam pic lol

Thanks for the review, Rick. I've been trying to decide which camera to get. I wasn't sure about the shutter speed on the Wildviews, but if you think it's adequate, I'll check them out.

I think that depends on which model you get too. I have heard the earlier ones the .3 mp and the 2.0 mp. were slow to trigger. My 3.0 mp is pretty quick. Check these out
These are cars driving by. It couldnt pick these up if it was too slow

For $99 thats hard to beat! I've got a couple of homebrew that I like real well, but it cost me a bit more.

I've been down that route too. I got tired of making them to be honest. These suckers are hard to beat for $100
The case isnt bad. Here are pics of the inside. I use a big lock to keep it as secure as possible.

We're going to start carrying these cameras. Your pics show just how fast the trigger is as well as the range. Good stuff there.

Chris,
sounds like a good move. I will probly be buying more in the future and I will check with you when it's time. I would stay away from the older models though.
The cheaper cams are getting better all the time while some of the higher priced cams are slipping.

that sucks! I usually have 2 or 3 whiteouts per batch but it isnt a big deal at all.
I have had a few moultries myself and havent found one yet I was happy with.
You might check and see if they have the 4.0 & 5.0 mp. models. They were only like $10 more and just came out.

Ok....this morning I went to Gander......They have the Wildview Extreme4.0 for $109..... I picked it up.
I really like the small size - VERY compact! Simple to use as well...
I have it set up in my office right now and the pics are really bleahed out from the flash - but because we are in a pretty small room, the light is bouincing back at it.... I can not wait to get it into the woods tommorow!
It came with the Realtree AP camo case...that is all I find wrong with it

I found the cameras at Sams club for $99. Last year I bought some 2.0 that have done a fine job, but this year they have the 4.0 with batteries and 256 meg card for $99.
