broadheads

i shoot alot in the off season and love it..but when season rolls around i have to completely change my sights to be good for my broadheads. i dont know exactly what the are same grain as my practice tips and fixed blade. i shoot about 6-8 inches low, 6-8 inches right. is there a better broadhead, preferablly a mechanical that will shoot more consistant to my practice tips

Everyone will have their favorite. I like to shoot the rage 3 blade. they even come with a practice head. they fly great for me.

right know i shoot straight vanes would it be better if i got them 4 degree helical or whatever

There are a lot of good Broadheads that should fly with your field points out of a well tuned bow, but you will not find a better flying, or tougher Broadhead than Slick Tricks

I have to try these slick tricks. Everyone says they are the real deal. I have looked at them and don't see anything special about them. What in your opinion makes them great?

I am leery of tha mechanical for obvious reason although many here will swear by them
Give me a good 3 blade muzzy 100 gr.
There is some point of contact discerption with some blades . I just adjust and go for it.

That's a tuning issue, not the broadhead...feild points are alot more forgiving than a fixed blade...the BH will plane through the air where the FP pushes through...try moving your rest(very, very slightly UP-Left)and see if that helps...you should be able to creep up on the bullseye...
BUT REMEMBER...very small adjustments...

I agree with BA you have some tuning issues!
After yo get that thing paper tuned check back with us and we will help you with questions about broad heads!
There are alot of archers on this sight that will tell you that the one they shoot is the best broadhead INCLUDEING ME
They are the best broadheads in our own minds!

Ill third the tuning issue. I think its a craze, everyone wants the expandable heads nowdays thinking their the cure all. when their equipment is at fault most of the time. Not saying all the expanbables are bad, but i pry will never use one.
