Week 4: 3DShoots Vegas Sit-Down League
Well, the final week is finally here. It seems a few gave up and decided not to play this week. We are missing 4 players, but still have enough for a game.

Round 1: Starting it off with a bang here..... A 4 way shoot off....... It looks like everyone shot a decent first end trying to make round 2. Sorry QSA, that redbird did you in.
We should all pat QSA on the shoulder. This league was his idea and most likely would not have happened without him striking the match. I had fun running it, and I hope you all enjoyed it. If so, thank QSA. Now get out your sandpaper and go prepare a spot for me on the OAK.....

Round 2: We have another shoot off and you just won't believe who's involved or who gets the short end of the stick. Watch your back from now on Chelleo, bowhuntnhoosier has to have a chip on his shoulder by now...........
Thanks for playing hoosier, hope you enjoyed yourself and improved your game.

Round 3: Chelleo, at least you made it far enough to put your nemesis on the OAK one last time....
Thanks for your participation. Maybe if your bow was a little prettier............

Round 4: This is what happens when, suddenly, without warning, you make the unexplainably stupid decision to try the "push - pull" method of back tension in the middle of a round......

Round 5: vawildfire my friend.......you fought the good fight. It is easy to see some of these scores and wonder why we even bother...... Persistence and dedication is what makes archers better archers...... Now pack it up and move off the line......

Round 6: We start handing out points to these last 5 survivors. It has take 2 shoot offs to settle this one. Hookem has come a long way, but his quest is finished with a 29. Thanks for playing and you got a point......

Thanks Spotts for giving us all something to shoot for.......... I would like to take a moment to officially give you a new nickname for use on 3Dshoots.com......I dub you "The Reality Check"............

Here are the stats that make running a league like this worth it. As a group we have improved. Some of us might have only maintained or slumped a bit, but as a whole we improved. That means individuals are being motivated to shoot and that results in them improving their personal scores.
I don't consider it a wast of time to shoot and turn in a mediocre score every week when it results in another person becoming a better archer. If we continue these leagues, we will spark an interest in more people. That interest will only make the sport grow.
As a group our average score was 329.69 with 8.8 X's for round 1.
Our round 4 averages were 373.13pts and 15 X's......

I have enjoyed running this league. Thanks to all that have participated and sent me their scores. I hope we do this again soon and if we do I would be happy to continue to run it. Maybe next time we will use 5 spots..... I can actually see the Xs on those babies with my scope.....

Congrats to everyone for some good shootin and i hate that i didn't participate in the final week but long hours at work and a family emergency over the weekend conspired against me.....
We all owe a big round of applause to the folks who organized, participated and contributed to this little competition. I had a blast and look forward to the next time!
Got my new arrow wraps in the mail yesterday and they look awesome...thank you mr. jcmorgan31 and i'll get some pics pretty soon!

That's awfully considerate Spotts. I knew giving you a really cool nick name would pay off......
What do you mean "if" you're allowed to participate? You and Bowman are the targets now. My intent is to get my crap together and whoop both of you next time.....

I think having these competitions are great...they give me a reason to shoot for sure...but I swear it's not to send BHH to the pine before me each week. 5 spot is fine with me..I have lots of those targets.

Sounds good to me. But is it a full 5 spot or half rounds? 30 or 60 arrows.
