I hunted with the miniblasters for probably 10 years or so exclusively. Killed over 20 deer I'm sure. I love the huge holes and wound channel. Lot of easy blood trails with a 1 3/4 inch cutting diameter.I was shooting 70 lbs with these heads.

Now I'm older and my shoulder is pretty beat up. I lowered my poundage to 60 lbs ; as soon as I did this I noticed I wasn't getting passthroughs as consistently. I switched to a heavier, sturdier head with a better tip, so the passthroughs would continue. I now hunt with the 100 grain rocket sidewinder.

I had a great run with the miniblaster but the tip is old school, overall the head if somewhat fragile and as everyone is aware, rockets are not the sharpest on the planet. But, If your bow is fast and you stay away from bones your bloodtrails will be short and easy.

I use them every year and just love them. I shoot the 78 grain 3 and 4 blade. Wait a minuet, wait a minuet, I have a picture of what one did to a deer last year......here we go, this is the entry hole. Had a complete pass thru on this guy and he blew a 3 foot wide blood trail. I will always use them as long as I can find them or the replacement blades.

Default Mini Blaster!

I used them for about 3 years, until Rocket came out with a better head!
The Rocket XL That head i used until the Rocket hammerhead replaced it last year!
The hammerhead,Sidewinder are pretty much the same the hammerhead is 100gr the sidewinder 125 they both cut 2 inches!
The mini blaster is like they said earlier old school Rocket technology!
But its still a great Head!
Taken around 30 deer with them,No wounds!
The thing i learned about mechinicals is that if you miss-hit by a couple inches,That large hole they make there not gonna survive!
