Yes, i don't have it written down anyplace but I'll try and list the ingredients out here...
2 pound thawed deer roast
2 - 1 cup packages of Au-Jus mix
2 tablespoons Italian Seasoning (I use Tones)
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons mild/meduim or hot gardienera pepper mix (I use Scalas)
1 teaspoon black pepper
Braize the outside of the roast in a frying pan with the olive oil
Put the roast, 2 cups water and Au-jus mix into a crock pot and cook on low for about 2 hours.
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Cook for another 2 hours.
Remove roast, slice and return to the crock pot. Heat on high for about 45 minutes. Put on crusty french bread with provolone cheeze and spoon a bit of the pepper mix and au-jus on it (or to taste). Gardienera pepper mix is a big Italian thing in Chicago and not everyone cares for it. It is a very good addition to the roast in the crock pot while it's cooking, but just in moderation.
I've used this recipe for deer, beef and beaver with excellent feedback from the consumers of it.
