Newbie Question...

Hello everyone! I am a newbie both to archery and this forum.

My question is: what is the most decent beginners equipment (for target shooting) that won't break my meager bank? Also, is there different equipment for women?

Parker makes some great bows for not alot of dollar. But, then a again, so does just about every bowmaker these days. I'm kind thinking that maybe the bowmakers are waking up a bit and figuring out that not all of us have alot of cash to spend.
I am fond of Parker bows in particular. Great quality and workmanship for the buck. My wife shoots a Parker and just loves it. I am planning on buying a Parker bow for hunting very soon.
The most important thing is going to be your budget, and how the bow feels and shoots.(as you feel it..) You do not need to go out and purchase a "hunting" bow to just hunt with, and a "target" bow for range shooting. Plenty of us archers use so called "hunting" bows for target shooting.

I recently bought my wife a Parker ChallengerII, and sh loves it.
It is a modestly priced bow that really delivers. It is quiet, shock free, and relatively fast being a lower poundage bow.

most important is the feel good to you go to the pro shops and try many bows ,it took my wife two months to find one she liked ,it was used mathews z max i think $400. after the bow arrows, release ,sights ,peep , rest .now she shoots better than me lol i will have to take my own advise as soon as i can aford a new one good luck and let us know what you find
