Gator eye , I can bowfish all the carp I want down here in Iowa and bowhunt all the doe deer too ! My best Iowa buck was just a 130+ pointer ,so far , that was with a shotgun !

I was there but I wasn't after those nasty carp. I was in the pack looking for walleye.
where do you put in at? I usaully fish right out of Thomas Rd on the east side. Been do fairly well outside of Sunset in 15 foot. Heard rumors of guys doing well out in the shipping channel, I got a smaller boat so I don't like to travel that far if I don't have to.

Last year the county where I shotgun three does was the worst place to hunt in the southern half of this state ,we had alot of snow and it was no fun ,got my arrowed doe a little further North ,but pulling her out of the timber wasn't fun as I had to crawl pulling that critter on a sled ,so I stopped shotting deer because of deep snow and blizzard conditions as it made you think about the fun in store for you !
We got alot of high water conditions ,but there are lots of them underwater critters to arrow !

I had a very wise friend suggest a hinge release. I know he is probable right but I am just too stubborn to give up on my Chappy Boss.

I switched to a thumb release, I give up on the hinge release after one fat lip, and a 2712 arrow hole through the duct work in my basement. Just couldn't get comfortable with it.
I still use my trigger release for hunting when it gets cold.
