Best way to kill a turkey?

I was just wondering what the best way to kill a turkey is. Do you shoot them broadside, or do you prefer head on, or up their corn hole? Or do some of you aim for their neck? I'm trying to figure out the best way, and so far it seems like it is broadside, but I just wanted to see what you all thought. Let me know!

I think any of those options are good ones. with a turkey i would take the first good shot the turkey presents, especially with a bow

I prefer head on...that way, if I need to - I have the choice of a head shot or a chest shot...

But any shot at less than 10 yards is fine, and my B-Mobile decoy is set up at 7 yards so they tend to get close.

I shoot a large expandable - a Rocket Hammerhead with a 2 inch cut.

That usually does the trick.

Broadside about an inch up and infront of the top of its drumstick. That way you dont tear up any of the breast meat! Or shoot the gobbler guillotine 4" cutting diameter and nock their heads off.....

I heard they suck...I heard they aren't accurate at all from outside 10 yards....is it worth trying if I don't have Blazers, or will they only work with that? I was thinking about going to those along time ago, but after everyone talking crap about them, I figured I'd switch to just the G5 Strykers...

I haven't shot them, I shoot the G5 Tekan-II's with the extra cut blades. 1.5" diameter. I figure if it will kill a deer, it should darn well kill a turkey! Given, I hit him in a spot the size of a pop can. That's doable!

Either way for me....but i perfere BS.....When you have all the feathers off(i perfere to skin'um).....the target gets a lot smaller.

I think you should wait a little while longer before buying turkey heads...something new may come out soon

I shot a turkey just below the neck a few inches with a normal broadhead i use for deer and the turkey just flew away...i suggest aiming lower on the bird if possible

I like the head on 1/4 toward shot i can ancor them with my mechinicals better.

I like the side shot if possible. The kill zone on a turkey can be hard to pin point with all the feathers on the bird. I like to use a broadhead with a big cutting diameter.
