Hubby and I were at the outdoor range at Golden Gate Park Sunday and besides eating the most scrumptious marzipan scones in the universe I got to actually make a string for a recurve bow. This fella that sets up every Sunday and basically has anyone who wants to shoot the ole recurves. Shops donate bows and stuff to him and he stays there from morn till evening and helps folks out that want to learn. I went over to actually shoot a bit but he was gonna make a string and got me involved doing that instead

I helped with all of it even doing the servings which was pretty easy. I always wondered how that worked. I still havn't figured out how you do 2 colors though. Maybe someone will enlighten me on that one, but it was fun for sure. Always something new to learn in this hobby.

Marzipan is an almond and sugar paste used to ice cakes and other pastries or sculpted into a variety of shapes to be eaten as candy or used as cake decorations. Marzipan is simply a mixture of almond paste, powdered sugar, and a moistening agent such as water, corn syrup, glucose, fondant, or egg whites. After the ingredients are mixed, marzipan reaches a consistency of dough or soft rubber and can be rolled, shaped, cut, or molded.

What she does is put little blobs of it in the scones and also chocolate chips. Can we say gastrogasm..... They are pastries usually on the sweet side but there are a gazillion things to make them with but great with tea or whatever makes you happy at the time.

We know what Marzipan is. Marzipan Scones and Tea. Yikes!
I guess it's a San Fransisco experience you had.
With the people I know, It's Venison Jerky and Turkey Pepper sticks.
Instead of Tea, the choice is beer, beer, or beer.

But but that's breakfast time....they do have killer bbq for lunch at least...hehe...but beer and arrows I'd be in big trouble. As it is now I'm not drinking any caffeine stuff before we shoot to see if that helps me stay more steady shooting.
