And last but not least a Blast from the past..... this is a Hoyt Super Slam....90 lbs at 29" when the limbs are bottomed out. Some of you may have never seen the old style overdraws but this is one of them. Notice the cast riser....

I've seen a lot of bows posted here lately with those spothogg rests and i'm need to get a new rest for a bow that i have.Is there a reason for the cords being so long....is there a reason a shorter cord like on some of the other rest won't work. One person said so it won't go up into the cable slide...but i don't get it.

The reason for the longer cord IChim2 is the Whammy operates completely backwards from most other dropaway style rest. On a normal drop away the rest is pulled up from the shelf by a cord attached to the down cable. If you look real close the Whammy rest is attached to the up cable so at full draw the cord is slack. The rest is spring loaded and the chord is attached to a trigger. When the bow is fired the up cable travels downwards and pulls the chord causing the trigger to jerk the rest out of the way before the veins reach the rest....
