It seems like all I do is look for the next best great thing in archery. whether it's the new model of bow or a new release, broadhead, etc. that's gonna make me a great shooter or hunter.......:noidea:
I've bought 3 bows and probably a half dozen rests and sights to try in the last year, and to be honest, none of them have really got me excited or made me want to shoot every day. It seems like it's all about the equipment, and keeping up with the Jones.

    So I'm going old school.........:peace:

Tomorrow, I'm going to buy a new string and a dozen arrows for my old Bear Kodiak takedown recurve, and I'm going to devote one full year to shooting it without picking up anything modern with training wheels, or fiber optics, or a dropaway rest, etc.

Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it.........

p.s. if you want to flame me or make fun of me, go ahead, I can take it.......:peace:

yep, it's going to be a challenge. I think I'll lean my bag target against the dishwasher, and shoot from the living room to start. That's all of 8 yds........:peace:

I think you will have a lot more fun.

I myself am getting out of the archery rat race also. But I'll be going back to rifles and pistols.

Talk about holding resale value.

    ha,JC

    I do that to.:noidea:
    Last year i got back into 3D and triditional 3D after a 10year lay-off
Some times ya get burned out on the stuff.
Good thing is my club has triadional shoots on sat. and all others on sunday
So i break it up to keep it fun.
ive been shooting bows since i was 16 and im 47 now you think i dont get tired of it.
I do alot but you gotta find a break in the action, fishin, golf or something else
To much of 1 sport can get old really quick.
