Ok, I am really new to archery (as in never bought my own gear, but did play around with it several years ago). I have been wanting to get into archery for sometime, now I can. My problem is that there aren't any archery shops near my area that I am aware of so I have been looking online at equipment. I am a bit confused as to what right hand/left hand risers mean. Since I am right handed, meaning I would draw the bowstring with my right hand and hold the riser in my left, do I buy a left hand riser? Or do I stick with normal convention and buy a right had riser?

if you draw with your right hand you would buy right handed equipment

If you are just starting off then I would suggest you determine whether you are left or right eye dominant. I am left eye dominant but right handed and started shooting right handed many years ago. So now it is much more difficult for me to make the switch. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN.

This is not a problem for me. I shoot firearms all the time. I am definitely right eye dominant and right handed.
