Ok, checked the cams on my Guardian & the lower CAM has a bigger gap then the top one.

    How do I correct this?
I was told to twist the string to get them even.
Can I unscrew the limb bolts & use a portable press to take the strings out?
I cannot remove the strings by just backing out the limb bolts.

    Thanks GUYS.

You need to either twist up one cable or untwist the other.

Grab a cable and pull it toward the riser and watch the cam. If it moves the cam the way you want it to, then twist that cable up making it shorter or untwist the other cable to make that cable longer.

Twisting your string will not affect one cam or the other independently.

Don't know much about them. I know lots of people use them. Should be fine to pull off a cable end, twist it and put it back on.

Hint: Remove the end of the cable that doesn't run around the inside short track of the cam. The other end should run around a track near the outside of the cam and it is much easier to remove from the post.

I don't need a press to work on any Martin in my shop either, but it's a heck of a lot easier than backing limb bolts out for 5 minutes, removing a cable without the limbs falling out of the pockets, putting it back together, tightening limb bolts for 5 minutes and then trying to get it back to the poundage it was before....just to add a couple twists.....:noidea:

    Sometimes.

For a quick twist or peep adjustment......I would always choose a press over backing out limb bolts.
