I lookign a the hoyt XL and the poundage can only go to 60. I wasn't sure if that going to make the bow slower or is there a different cam or limbs on it htat make it just as fast say a 70# bow with different limbs and cams. Any help would be appriciated.

I think you cam put C2 cams on it and it will pick up some speed, but you can get stronger limbs

xt500 is the only style limb you can put on a Trykon XL. about the only weigh your going to get more speed out of the bow is change out the 80%cams for the 65% let-off and that will only get you 5fps.

need more speed than that, your going to have to get a different bow.

the regular cam and 1/2, spirals and the C2 cams will stack up too much wieght on the xt500 limbs. Big cams equals short limb travel higher deflection numbers. Small cams, more limb travel, lower deflection numbers. Hope this helps.
