I used to sneak my Dad's Bear recurve out of the house and shoot it. I was only 9 or 10 back then. My first bow was a bear whitetail I was 16.
lol bull. If we go back 3 more years i was shooting some really old bow that was like 30" draw and i was 23" draw and i wouldnt even pull it back all the way and i was shooting better than the neighbor kid. and it had no sights, no peep, no nothing.
Heck, I'm so old that I can't even remember my first bow. All I know it was a hand me down from my cousin. (recurve). Heck my military combat gear (we called it our 782 gear) included a bow, shield and a short spear. But that was back before I walked point for the "Lewis and Clark" expedition.
when i was about 7 i used to shoot my grandpa's competition hoyt recurves and then i got a pse team fitz when i was 14

my first was a hand me down browning compound at 11 years. limbs were wood and it was pretty old. well actually before that i won a lil banshee youth bow in a bow shooting contest when i was 8 or 9
