Has anyone put an aftermarket cable slide on their Guardian? If so which one.
I have an aluminum Winners Choice. Working very well.
I have sold several of the Saunders Hyper Glide Slide and use them myself. Also improves clearance.
My undestanding is the Teflon Hunter sized replacement slides correct clearance problems, and slightly increase speed over the stock junk.
Anyone use the Alpine Archery Slide?
Well since cable slides are a popular topic I will bumb this to the top.
I purchased the Alpine Archery slide for the Guardian. It caused so much cam lean that I thought the string was going to roll of the mod. Does the saunders do anything like this?
Not a Guardian but I did just put a Hyper Slide on my 07 Tribute.
It does pull the cables over a bit, maybe even a hair more than a Sims teflon.
I only have a 27.5 inch draw so it hasn't been a problem. My understanding it has more influence on cable tracking with a longer draw.
Whats wrong witht the factory slide? IS changing the slide adding anything?
Nothing....I just had 11 bucks burning a hole in my pocket. At least i'm honest. The factory cable slide is back on.. Lesson learned.
I've always wondered what was gained by changing them. They all perform the same way dont they?
All and all their probbly ok (orig's). I think it has a lot to do with keeping your CGR clean and slick....
I put the sims teflon on yesterday, haven't had a chance to shoot it with it on yet, but I do get a little more clearance....just a little more than the factory slide. My purchase was also a money burning a hole in my pocket purchase. I am not throwing the stock slide away just in case
Hey Hook do you shot a Guardian? If so let me know how that slide works.
