    Oklahoma Archers

This year ASA as Added a 45K class to make it easy on the range owners and the people who is putting the time in setting up the ranges for ASA if you are plaining to shoot the 45k class you will need to bring your own Range Finder.
This will make it easy for the ranges to accomidate the new class and use the 20 targets for ASA Scoring the ranges will need to set up Half of the range with known distance and the other half as unknown to accomidate the other classes. if you do not want to know the distance then just don't look at the Card. Ranges if you will make a card with the distance on them then pass them out at the begaining of the shoot for ten targets this will keep it easy to control

    Thank you
    Darrel Trout ASA Rep, Oklahoma

    Question

Will they ones shooting the K45 be able to shoot with the other class shooters? Unmarked class shooters?

Rules have always been no range finders on the course on unknown distance.
So now I assume its fine to carry rangefinders with you on the course?

Only if you are shooting the 45k class and you will whoot with some one in a known class or may by yourself its up the the range if you are not shooting the known class then the rule stand no range finders

Yes that is the reason of letting them use there range finders, every thing else is just ten or none that is why i need the ranges to make a sheet of distance marks for ten targets for the known distance class of ten targets

Hold on at the pro/ams and in texas since there is half and half everyone was allowed to carry a rangfinder due to not all rangfinders read the same yardage. Infact I've had to as much as 5yds different. Obviously if you shooting with a group thats half and half no one is going to bring theres out and say oops I thought this was the 10 known. I personally set my bow up to my rangefinder so when I shoot known yardage I only go by what my finder says not a piece of paper. Most just stick them in their chair or quiver and don't bring them out til there allowed. Cause as soon as some people start missing shots on known using a paper their going to start saying someone wrote them down wrong or they don't use the same rangefinder they do. If they use their own finder then they can't blame no one. You might want to reconsider that ruleing.
