My bow is 29 inch draw, just wondering how long my arrows should be? I want to buy some already made. But I could go to a shop... I need room for broadheads as well!
I like to cut my arrows about 1/4" to 3/8" past the rest when at full draw. If you're going to go with pre-cut arrows for a 29" draw, 28" would probably be a good guess for length.
Sounds good, but I try and measure it...I have an old 32" aluminum arrow I put in the bow and draw and have someone mark it at the front of the rest..then I add a 1/2"...My DL is 29" and my arrows are cut at 29"...:noidea:
You also have to take into account your broadhead diameter. Like Brokenarrows asks, you need to be sure you have clearance. Sometimes you have to cut the arrow ou past the riser at full draw. And, be sure when you measure that you have the bow set for the proper draw lenght. Ron
A lot depends on the type of rest, the type of bow and the broadhead you intend to shoot. I am shooting a trophy taker rest on my tribute and I shoot a 28" arrow with a 28.5 inch draw.
Right! You'll Have to measure the arrow on the bow like the eariler post said! I am 29inch draw and shoot a 28 3/4 in arrow! But i shoot mechinicals and pull it to within 1/2 inch from my rest!:biggrin1:
