I only shoot 50-55 pounds @28" draw with 2213 arrows. I'm looking for a good 3 blade head that will give me a clean passthrough.

I understand that the 2 blades will give better penetration but I would like a good blood trail to go with a passthrough. I guess I want everything but who doesn't? :D

Any suggestions that don't cost $10 a piece?

    Doc,
i would go with some magnus stingers or buzzcuts if it was me. Or even the new ss.

Alot of broadheads out there are getting pretty pricey

The wac'ems and strikers are nice but around $10 each. They slick tricks are also very popular

I use the eastman terminator x2 titanium 1 inch cutting dia, 017 " blade thickness in 100 gr and the same one in 125 gr for my recurve.... they are a big $6.95 for 3 pack at walmart.

I have used on deer, woodchuck, crow, and rabbit....

I just toss them if I break a blade, so far they seem to do a great job...they are low profile design and fly just like a field point... try them I think you will like them or if you don't you will be only out $6.95 not the 30 to 40 for other high price BH's...

Muzzy FTW! I love my Muzzy's and a buddy of mine just started shooting MX-4's and they are awesome as well.

For your setup I would go with the MX4.

I may go back to the old Bear heads. I shot them for years without any problems. Seems fitting for an old dinosaur anyway. :D

There arent many broadheads out there that I would consider inexpensive. None that are worth a crap anyways.

Price and performance wise the slick tricks are definately in the top 3 I would think. Maybe muzzy and magnus the other two

:amen: I knew you were a smart man!!
Here I go with my commercial..... Did you know that they are "the only broadhead with a lifetime gaurantee?" That makes them the most inexpensive...cause you only have to buy them once! :peace:

I've used Muzzys in the past and never had any problems.

After talking with Dan, I am going to have to give those slick tricks a look.

I REALLY liked the "frige" test. If that ain't a testament to their toughness, I don't know what is. And after hearing of a passthrough at 33 yds with only 37 pounds, well, I can't ask for anything more. :thumb:

Yep. I've killed 5 beavers with them. Great penetration even with their thick tough hides. :thumb:

BTW nice avatar. It looks like you have the perfect dl.

Any walmart off-brand will pass-thru a deer,Ive got alot of buddys that buy the ones they can throw away after one hit!
    Around $9.00 for 3pk
If you want something a little more, go with Muzzys!:peace:

Try the Wasp Hammer SSTs. They are around $35 for a 6 pack and I have used them with great success on deer and bear.
