Need something to use for the occasional tweaking and dont really want to spend 300+ clams on a full blown bow press and was wondering if the ratchet lock or bowmaster bow press will work on my 2006 Tribute for simple serving and tweeking task.

Bowmaster will work great. Iv'e used one for years. Wore out the cable, and they sent me a rebuild kit for it FREE. I've since broke down and bought a bench mounted press, but still have my Bowmaster for occasional use and tricky jobs.

I have an Allegiance and the bowmaster works great. It's inexpensive and extremely portable. It would be a pain to use it for pressing a bunch of bows in succession, such as in a shop, but for 'home' use I think it works terriffic.

I would invest in a bow vise though since you really need something to hold the bow steady.
