    Well, I got a 101st.:peace:

The Invelvet finish is amazing. It feels kind of like a rubber coating over the riser and limbs.

The bow is really fast. I grabbed my hunting shaft which is 400 grains at 65 lbs and shot it through the chrono at 292fps. You do feel where it drops into the valley. I think some minor modifications to the draw stop would help but I also want to get smooth mods and shoot it some more. The BC said 326 at 29".

For a speed bow there is almost zero shock and vibration. Not quite the level of the Guardian but close. There is a little noise when it hits the string stopper but not bad at all.

I'm looking forward to spending some more time with this bow. Looks like they have a winner again.

I have loved every Bowtech I ever owned. I strayed for awhile but came to my senses.

    Keep us up to date.

I stopped at my buddy's bow shop on the way home from work today and got to shoot the 101. The only thing I don't care for is the length. Wish they would make it in a shorter length. Easy to shoot and very fast. Shot my 400 grain hunting arrow at 60 lbs and a 29" draw and it was right at 290fps.

I added a few twists to the string and made sure the timing was correct regardless of what the dots showed. I've got 3 dots showing the outside of the limbs.

  14. Just wondering how your bow was shipped and how many were showing.. The one I shot needed some serious twisting.

    Sounds GREAT Chris!!

    One question...

    I am running the numbers...

    65 lbs = 325 grains

    400 - 325 = 75 grains

    75 gr. divided by 3 gr./1 fps = 25 fps

    292 fps + 25 fps = 317 fps....

    What chrono are you using?

    Thanks...

  17. Maybe not supposed to stretch that much but the string and cables are new materials that are suddenly under constant pressure and in varying temperatures during shipment.

I don't know for sure what string material BowTech is using this year..

I'm going to re-do my chrono testing. After tweaking the timing to prefect cam sync I'm wondering what it will do to the speed.
