I'm shooting one now and we have sold quite a few of them. Everyone that has bought them, loves them. It's pretty quick considering the 8"+ brace height. I've got one setup for 3D and I'm setting up another for Field.

I have an 07 and love it!!
I believe the 08 gets it's larger brace, over the 07, from the new bigger cams. The 08 also feels quite a bit diff, than the 07, during the draw.
I will be seriously looking at buying a Commander in 09....if they are still making them.

I have one for field and absolutely love it. I had an '07 and loved that one too. You can't go wrong with that bow.

Just got my 08...but waiting on mods right now. Even with the draw 1.5" long I can shoot it better than my 82nd...so far I like it :noidea:

    Dumb commander question here.

I thought it had draw stops (i.e. a solid wall), but was reading something online that said it's a soft wall unless you put on some "optional" stops.

So, what's the case? Is the commander solid on the back wall out of the box?

well i was also thinking of if there was a draw stop. When i looked at the 08 mod it looked like it had the same draw stops as the general

I'm pretty sure the "08 cam has a draw stop. the 07 didn't.

Correct....07 didnt have one and 08 does...But its not as solid as the other bowtechs...Instead of the draw stop contacting the limb, it comes around and touches the cable. Dont let this stop you from buying one though...its still a pretty nice wall.

When I ordered my 08 commander in march I was told that I could have the 08 or Bowtech was producing the 07 again because thier were a lot of complants about the 08 draw cycle. I had shot both and ordered the 07. The bow is great and it is a tack driver. very comfortable to shoot, quiet, with not hand shock.

So, are you saying they nerfed the cycle on the '08? How so?

No bowtech is offering eather or. My 07 is a 07 made in 08. Every thing on my bow is 07, camo, limbs, cams. The sticker even says 07 but it was built in March 08.
