cable guard

    i was wondering wht exactly a cable guard is.:noidea:
    im new to compound bows..sorry this is kinda a dumb question :dizzy:

    It is the rod sticking out the back of your bow. It has a cable slide on it. It is what holds the cables out of the way of the arrow when shooting. And never a dumb question if it is asked.

    I have nothing useful to add because QSA nailed it on the head! If the cable guard wasn't there, the arrow would hit the cables when you shot it...which would be bad.
