I am curious about a question someone ask me about 10year's ago.
When high country started advertising their bow's they sayed they were the
first that could reach 200 mph. I could'nt answer the kid when he ask how fast was that in fps. I just told him they were two different measurment's.

    can this brain-buster be broken.:noidea:

If I remember my Physics right 88 feet per second is 60 mph, so 200 mph would beeee ummm, where's that calculater, well about 270 feet per second. Hope this is right and helps.:noidea:

    physic's

I'm sure glad someone could answer that ?
I've ask that to so many people that came into the shop and they just scratched their head's & look at me,with that empty space look!!!
just like i did when the kid ask me.
    270 was pretty good 10-15 year's ago.
thank's again for breaking the brain-buster.:peace:

i knew all the chemistry unit conversions would come in handy...

    200 miles * 5280 feet * 1 hr. * 1 min.
    1 hr.............1 mile......60 min...60 sec.....= 293.33 fps.

goldflinger was right, 88 fps is 60 mph...not sure how you got 270 though:noidea:

(those are fractions if you cant tell, hard to type them on here!)

    fast

Now that highcountry was really a fast bow out of the box was'nt it.
I did'nt own one but i set alot of them up.
If i can remember one of the target bow's reached about 302fps but we really had to push it to the limit.
    thank's.:biggrin1:

Just some rought figuring in my head. Couldn't find calculater. But 200divided by 60 times 88 comes out to 293. Not my prvious guess of 270. My bad.
