has anyone one done this to help the looks and make it more streamline?
It looks like if you were do this it would make it half inch taller and closer to the nocking point.

I cut mine when I made it. Just used a hacksaw and lightly grinded the edges

Papito did and his came out awsome.....He did it in his boces class.....

He used a large STS, theone you screw into the end of a Stabilizer.....he threaded theend of the rod and screwed the STS onto that.....

2 to 3 other fine folks make then. Meanv hakes them here, Coolhand luke on AT and I think one more over other
I use lukes Vibe kill. Besides the look. Tell me this. If you mount a sts to the front or rear and the rod goes down the side of the bow and then snakes back to the string. Then when the string hits the stopper, to me it looks like it will kick the bow sideways a little. Because it is not center lined

What would you use for the stopper? Any piece of hard rubber work?

You can buy the eds stoppers for 6 or 7 dollars. CoolHandLuke sells his stoppers on AT for 4 or 5 bucks. Or you could use the limbsaver. :D

yup you can cut them off, Bowman did it for my Ovation. looks much better / cleaner

there really isn't much if any kickout to the side, it does add a little bit of weight but its not much.

Yes, we cut them for our customers in the shop if they request it.

I had one customer make an adapter so he could use an old arrow shaft for the rod. I don't think it worked too well. Seemed like it flexed too much.
